Drone Valley Brewery

Drone valley brewery in Unstone is the UK’s only independent community brewery, specialising in vegan friendly beers and relying on volunteers for all that it does.

DVB is a craft brewery and tap (bar at the brewery), set up in 2016 and owned by its members, run for the benefit of the local community as a Community Benefit Society. We are totally reliant on volunteers to brew, bottle, sell, run the tap, and run the business. The brewery’s profits support a wide range of local good causes, such as local community groups, charities and youth groups.

We sell a full range of vegan-friendly real ales – bitters, pales, dark, mild – with a core range and regular special brews, seasonal brews, and good-causes brews through the year. All our beers are made in Unstone, Derbyshire, with local water, carefully selected yeasts, primarily British malts, and hops from everywhere, New Zealand, west coast USA, and many places closer, including green-hops locally grown by members for our Autumn green-hopped special brews.

The brewery sells to local independent pubs and clubs providing quality beers at low cost to support local community outlets, we also sell our beers draught and bottled at our volunteer-run brewery tap (which is also a social hub and actively supporting the local live music scene), we also sell our beers through local bottle shops, at our pop-up bar at community events, and through web sales.

The brewery tap is open on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Monday evenings, plus some Sundays for additional music and other events. All surplus profits of the business are donated to local good causes.
