The Bulls Head Holymoorside

Head Chef and Patron Mark Aisthorpe has transformed The Bulls Head, Holymoorside into a welcoming, friendly, fine dining restaurant and bar with a small number of luxurious bedrooms.

The Bulls Head is dog friendly with a designated area within the restaurant and bar area. Showcasing exquisite tasting and a la carte menus, producing modern British cuisine, with emphasis on seasonal, farm to table dishes. Mark’s menus are hyper-seasonal and have a supply chain from a limited geographical area, relying on local forages, the restaurant’s own garden and neighbouring farmers to supply the best possible produce.

Mark uses local produce and locally foraged delights to produce the most exquisite meals, resulting in being awarded 3 AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. The Bulls Head was a finalist in the 2023 Great British Pub Awards for Best Pub for Food and recently crowned winner of “one to watch” in the 2024 Estrella Top 50 Gastro Pub Awards. Mark also appeared on Great British Menu in 2022 in which he reached the regional final.

The rooms at The Bulls Head complement its 1881 heritage, retaining original features such as stone walls and timber beams to create charming spaces to relax and unwind in this peaceful location.
