Street Nameplates and Numbering

You can report a damaged or missing street name plate online so we can rectify as soon as possible.

North East Derbyshire District Council will maintain Street Nameplates within the area covered by the District Council.

On a new development, the responsibility for providing the Street Nameplate(s) lies with the applicant. This/these must meet the specification shown below. After the initial installation, the responsibility for the maintenance and renewal of nameplate(s) will transfer to the District Council.

The Street Nameplate(s) must be installed before any of the properties are occupied. If the applicant fails to install the required Street Nameplates, these will be installed by the District Council and charged back to the applicant, including any costs incurred.

Sign Plates

1.1       Die pressed, 11 swg Aluminium, non-reflecting 90 mm Kindersley letters on 150 mm – 12.5 mm bead white on green background.

Frames

2.1       40 mm x 40 mm x 5 mm angle iron, legs to be 50 mm x 50 mm x 3 mm box section steel, 1.2 m long, with base plates and plastic coated caps.
