Tourism

North East Derbyshire sits nestling between Chesterfield and the Peak District, and because of this, the rural nature of the district entices many tourism businesses that are attracted by the stunning views and close links to large town and villages which are peppered throughout.

In 2021, a public poll carried out by Money.co.uk found that North East Derbyshire ranked as the third best place to live in the whole of the UK, Citing work-life balance as the main reason. It was also ranked as the best place to live in the East Midlands based on the same criteria – the district scored 8.2 out of 10 in terms of life satisfaction.
