North East Derbyshire District Council opted to be a non constituent member of the Sheffield City Region (SCR) Combined Authority. This agreement was reached on 2 March 2016
Staying as a non constituent member of the Sheffield City Region will enable us to continue our joint working. The Council has already, and continues to, work well with neighbouring authorities to bring about many benefits to the area including Growth Hub Funding packages, supporting the roll out of the Derbyshire Broadband initiative, securing additional employment land with Enterprise Zone status for Markham Vale and improvements to the A61 corridor.
