A review of polling districts and polling places 2023

In accordance with the Representation of the People Act 1983, the Electoral Administration Act 2006 and the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013, North East Derbyshire District Council is required to complete a full review of all polling districts and polling places every five years. In undertaking the Review, which will commence on 2 October 2023. The Council must ensure that:

  • electors in the constituency have such reasonable facilities for voting as are practicable in the circumstances
  • as far as is reasonable and practicable, the polling places they are responsible for are accessible to all electors, and when considering the designation of a polling place, must have regard to the accessibility needs of disabled persons

The Council has produced a Consultation Document 2023 (.pdf | 134kb) which explains the purpose of the Review. For each District Ward, a map has been produced identifying the relevant Polling Districts and Polling Places/Stations. A link to each map can be found below.

As part of the Review, the (Acting) Returning Officer has published a Schedule of Polling Districts Polling Places and Polling Stations 2023 (.pdf | 175kb) in order that anyone wishing to comment or make observations, can do so by completing the Submission Form.
