What is the Equality Plan?
We are committed to providing good quality services shaped by an understanding of the needs of different people and ensuring that how we deliver services promotes equality and fairness, and challenges inequality and discrimination in all its forms. We are also committed to ensuring equality as an employer.
This plan builds on the achievements of the previous Single Equality Scheme 2019-23, and sets out actions we will take to continue to deliver improved equality outcomes for everyone.
Objectives
The objectives of our Equality Plan are:
- Improving customer and resident insight for service planning and delivery purposes.
- Providing leadership and organisational commitment to actively promote equalities, inclusion, and accessibility.
- Ensuring a diverse and engaged workforce.
- Continuing to embed British Sign Language (BSL) Charter pledges.
